Salon History

Penthouse Hairdressing was first established on the top floor, (hence the name Penthouse Hairdressing) of 133 Victoria St, Bunbury  in 1982 and quickly established itself as a salon wherepeople could expect high quality hairdressing at a reasonable price with extraordinary good service, both during the first and all subsequent visits.

Milestone Achievements:

  1982, May :Established Business at top floor, 133 Victoria St, Bunbury.

  1984, June : Expanded salon to encompass ground floor with street frontage

  1986, August: Salon invited to join L’oreal Peer Group

  1987, January: Salon invited to join Intercoiffure (International Hairdressing Group)

  1987, February: salon computer management system installed

  1988, April : Salon moved to Central Arcade due to sale of premises

  1992, November: Purchase of Golden Scissors salon at Bunbury City Plaza
      and renamed to Penthouse Hairdressing

  1993, May: Amalgamated two salons into one at Bunbury City Plaza

  1996, August: Quality Management System Commenced

  1999, February: Expanded salon into Shop 4 effectively doubling the size of
      the salon and improving passing traffic.

  2001: State finalist Small Business Awards (Under 20 Employees Category)

  2004: Relinquished shop 3 lease and moved salon into shop 4 and remodelled  layout

  2005: Launched ‘Hello Gorgeous!!!’  campaign

  2006: Invited to be a member of ‘Wella Red Group’

  2009: Redesign website and introduce QR codes

  2010: Introduction of Facebook page

  2012: 30 year anniversary, staff reunion celebrations

  2012: Staff participated backstage of Intercoiffure National Congress

  2013: Established “Pop Up” photgraphic facilities in salon

  2013/2014: Conducted three successful fashion Glamour photo shoots to be used in advertising and marketing

  2014: Finalists in South West Small Business Awards
